Boris visits
Boris Johnson visited Food from the Sky recently. It was fab to meet him; he is so passionate about local food and bringing communities back to life, both dear to my heart. He even harvested some salad leaves and sold them to a customer. He made a real point of walking around and meeting every team member! A man with a big heart!
Having a roof full of local volunteers who give up their time to grow food, local Highgate Wood B.Tech students who are setting up a mushroom room on our roof, customers, my team who are growing the Garden of Bangladesh, the local council with Boris and Rosie Boycott (his food policy adviser) – and what seemed like 100’s of photographers! This is my vision, our food store at the heart of the community.

To provide you with a much wider choice of meat, Gary opened our butchery counter last year. Gary has a huge range of experience working in stores like Planet Organic and The Natural Kitchen and really knows his stuff, so do pay him a visit! He is now joined by Bernard, to ensure we’ve got a proper butcher on site 7 days a week!
